CES has leveled books to give anyone that wants them. The books are already divided into K-3rd grade reading levels and in great condition. There is not a limit to the number of books you can take. The books will be available Monday-Friday 8:00-2:30pm in the front office. Happy Summer!

Just a reminder: Summer School is at Cypress Springs Elementary. It is June 3-June 24. It is 8:00-2:00pm. Drop off begins at 7:30. You should have been contacted by a bus driver if you stated you would need bus transportation. The dress code for all students is attached. 5th grade parents only: Junior High girls basketball tryouts has been canceled today. Tryouts will be moved to Friday afternoon after school. CHS will have a 5th grade parent meeting for all incoming 6th graders Thursday night at 6:00 at Choudrant High School.

From Choudrant High School: Due to rain, the junior high softball tryouts are moved to RPAR this afternoon. Students will be called out of class at 2:30 to ride the bus to RPAR. Tryouts are closed to parents. All athletes will ride the bus back to CHS Softball Complex after tryouts. Parents can pick them up at Choudrant High School Softball Complex at 5:30. There is a varsity softball banquet tonight, so we ask that you please pick your child up promptly at 5:30pm from CHS..

Parents: Act 266 of the 2023 legislative session requires that all kindergarten students be screened for characteristics of dyslexia in the second half of kindergarten. In order to meet the requirements of this mandate, the Shaywitz DyslexiaScreen™ will be administered by your child’s teacher before the end of this academic school year. Your child’s teacher will complete the screening based upon their observations and knowledge of your child. The results of this screening will be shared with parents and guardians by the end of the academic school year. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Martin.

Upcoming Dates to Remember: 4th & 5th grade CES cheer clinic and tryouts are May 8-10. Awards Day Schedule: May 15 Awards 5th grade - 8:15 PreK - 10:30 K - 1:00 May 16 Awards 4th grade - 8:15 1st grade -10:00 3rd grade - 11:30 2nd grade - 1:00 Last day of school is May 23, report cards will be sent home as well. We were unable to reschedule field day. The weather did not cooperate with us this year.
